Having recently just stacked probably the best thing I have ever owned and having spent most of christmas sat in a corner rocking, I am now looking for a replacement. My original car was a 55 plate red 5.7 vz with wortec pipe rip shifter AP brakes.

I know its only a bit of steel and plastic but loosing this car is taking some getting over.

If you have a red one like this or close and are thinking of selling, let me know. I live in Hampshire but dont mind travelling. I'm not worried about the brakes but the pipe and ripshifter would be handy. Car would need to be pre Mar 23rd 06 to avoid heavy road tax. I only do 5000 miles a year so higher milleage not such a problem.

Second question. (maybe a strange one)

Is it possible to permanantly remove the wing from a two door VXR and has anybody done this? I personaly dont do wings and reckon VXRs may look a whole lot better without it. The HSV Monaro with white stripe on Wortecs site certainly does. Any pointers in this direction would be appreciated. Cheers

should be easy enough to remove but it will mean filling and painting as I'm fairly sure its screwed/bolted on. Could make it an expensive process.

I have had mine off for repair. There are 3 bolt holes in the boot lid. There were also 2 holes (i think) in each side panel. Also a bit of paint wear under it in the centre rear of the boot, which is common on a lot of Ro's.

Incidentally, my wing had 'HSV New Zealand GTO LE' written underneath it from the factory. Guess they were destined for other countries in a different guise. There is one of these models (2004) for sale in nz now, and they want the equivalent of £23k for it!

Gareth I can't get into my poxy Hotmail at the moment. I will check again tommorow at work and get back to you. I only work down the road at Micheldever so not a million miles away. Thanks all for the advice. Sounds like a job for a decent body shop but worth considration non the less! Cheers Mike
