Well I've got my new car so I need to put the 5 up for sale. I haven't sold a convertible before - is it true they sell better in good weather or is it a myth?!

I've usually not got any money after Christmas either so if that's the same for everyone maybe I should wait til March to put it on the market?

Whaddyareckon?

I think they sell easier in spring/summer but the price stays around the same.

Er, ok.

Will be for sale next week anyway. The replacement Boxster is now on the driveway.

Replacement Boxster?
Tell you what mate, hold on to the '5 for a while - chances are you'll be swapping back to it after a few weeks with the Boxster tongue out

hehe

Not likely! It's better in every way, apart from it's not as oversteery as the 5. The Boxster can also carry astonishing speed through corners, far higher than the 5 - so even though there is perhaps less playing on the limit, ultimate speeds are higher and that creates its own thrill.

Also, I need something capable of covering miles with ease, and good as the 5 is that's not one of it's strengths.

Hi Chris

Check my post on the 1st page of the 'show us your MX5' sticky at the top. It's a '95 R-Limited, you familiar with those? LSD, BBS, Bilsteins, red leather etc etc? Mine also has newish mohair roof, twin exit exhaust, smooth rear bumper with fog integrated into high level brake light, chrome detailing in the cabin, Momo race steering wheel. Plenty of other stuff as well. Brand new MOT.

It's not a cheap snotter mind hehe I'm gonna price it appropriate to its condition and wait for the right buyer I think, as I already have the new motor I'm not desperate to have the money for a new car.

If you're interested pop me a PM.

Cheers

Yeah that's great isn't it, he was being chased by our other cat at the time, laughed my arse off when I saw him in the pic!

I was just browsing your ad in the classifieds! Not in a position to buy currently (mulling over a return to Mazda'dom as a more cost effective toy than the TVR, hence lurking) but I'd be seriously tempted if I was. smile
