Unless someone knows the car...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-TVR-CERBERA-4-5-AJP-FSH...

seems like it has had some worthwhile upgrades, oil temp gauge has replaced the clock for instance. Not sure about the engine upgraded...or replaced though?!

and where did those LED's on the steering wheel come from?!

Needs tidying but caught my eye...

Is it the autocraft converted car? if so I mapped it and whilst the fuelling system wasnt the prettiest in the world it made great power from what I recall .. most midrange power of any cerb i've ever seen .. if it's the same car .. the £17k engine seems to suggest it is!

Well when i first saw this - i thought 4.5 weren't around then (i could be wrong) then i saw the engine transplant.

buttons are from RSW, like most of the buttons in the car.. seems some mismatch on the dial bezels.

i would be interested to see the chassis.

Dont understand how it started as a 4.0 and went to 4.5 on same engine,, unles originally was an S6.....to which you would add, why not just buy an AJP to start with??

dont think S6's were around at the time it was built...so the history doesnt quite add up. Regardless of that though, it looks to have a genuine 4.5 now. If the chassis is good then it could be a very good car.

Be interested to hear the history, autocraft car or not...

Yeah 99% sure it is the Autocraft car, seem to remember it being that colour. Gauges are a mess, that would annoy me, other than that could be a good buy. The Vat mention is also rather odd, I can't see there being any VAT on it as, whether he bought it as a company car or not it was already bought used so any VAT element would have disappeared, also he would only have got to reclaim any Vat if the car was to be used wholly for the purposes of the business with no private use so assuming he didn't reclaim any then again it shouldn't come into play now. Reckon the 4.0 is probably just the seller getting it wrong, sure it would originally have been a 4.2 and now a 4.5, not a S6 car transplanted to a V8.

As a closset purple lover (Raspberry is one of my favourites), I could easily be tempted to out the Jag and become a 2 Cerb Family.scratchchin

Unfortunately I would not live long enough to enjoy it as the Missus would be laying patio slabs on me the minute I click on 'Bid Now'

99% sure that's the Autocraft car, ask Jules, he mapped it and'll have the reg on file. It was a 4.2 with broken crank, maybe the owner got a bit mixed up.

Im not clear if this is a good thing, being from autocraft...i must admit to not knowing their history?

Also - with a bespoke fuel rail and other bits, could make it more expensive to run?
