Chaps, buy all your goodies on the very last day. Everything is massively reduced in price then.

Don't buy a DVD on the first day and then have all the rest of your group smugly announce on the last day that they've just brought the same DVD for 15€ less on the last day hehe

I've mentioned this to Moonie, however its worth considering racing Kielder this year as I think it guarantees you a place on the front 3 rows in the qualifying - which is a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it...

hehe The qualifying is more scary than the actual race I think! I got taken out in both the quali, and the race (as it got rearranged to follow the quali course because of the weather) and was left for dead on the floor!!! Is bloody scary with everyone riding towards you!

Kielder is oop north and is an Enduro DH/FR thingy, all part of the same series (the Mega is part of a bigger series of races) and will count toward you getting an overall position, as an aside for of the Mega.

I'm in as well and looking forward to it. Didn't make it along in 2008 due to being away with work, but will make sure I'm there again this year. And fingers crossed I don't break anything this time!

Me and Mandog are in. Gold package. Our team name is 'Pistonheads'. We'll be buying jerseys and DVDs on the last day. Staying for the party on the Saturday night and travelling to Morzine on the Sunday morning. Travel logistics to be confirmed.

Just get anything that has off piste chopper insurance. You fall off, you pay the nice French man for the use of their nice helicoptor, and then you claim it back.

Everything else is just normal medical insurance cover.

Its all pretty efficient over there, trust me wink

I used Snowcard last year and they also do an 'Ameteur Competition' package for £55 - we're going for two weeks. That onto op my World Travel Insurance was what I was going to do.

The BCF insurance is pretty cheap usually and covers being lifted off the mountain. Can't remember how much tho.

By the way, the kool kats are looking at staying in Oz this year: Its worth considering Oz D'Oisans as somewhere to stay rather than Alpe D'Huez as you will get the HUGE benefit of being at the bottom of the Oz lift which is handy come qualifying/race day wink

Plus you get to finish the day with the BEST descent in Europe - the Black run (or the Sprint course) into the village.

Yeah i'm insured too - through CAF, the French Alpine Club.

Its an annual policy that was actually meant to cover glacier skiing and using ropes on snow but handily also covers MTB. brucie bonus.
