I just had a sneak preview of a mag that's free with tomorrow's Independent newspaper. It's called the Red Bulletin and it's done with the Red Bull people. (The only drink to have on the road home after a hard trackday in my opinion!)

It's like the freebie they give away in the paddock at F1 races but covers all the other sports they're involved with as well, so apart from an interview with 'Crazy Dave' and a mix and match thing with Loeb and Vettel, and a comparison between James Hunt's helmet and Seb Vettel's (don't even go there!) they go on about loads of other 'adventure sports'. Anything that people can shout 'Dude' and ‘Like...’at each other in, like boarding, and extreme this and that - even extreme 'keepie uppie' from what I saw. It seems the 'Bull is involved in all of them!

Is it really such a good idea for one company to be involved in so many activities? Won't it lead to world domination for one guy to influence the 'alternative lifestyle community ' - i.e. people who wear clothes that are far too big and can't string a sentence together, yet have no sense of their own mortality?

No they are only taking over the "world of people who think they are dude"

the real alternative nutters would be untouchable by any big corporate body

Would anyone be willing to put their name beside the suicide case BASE jumpers who dress like rocky the flying squirrel for when the invitable happens and a ten year old american trys the same act with a bedsheet

To be fair, it also weirdly had articles on Amelia Erhard and other people - so would they be X-treme these days? "Hey like man, they're like going get a plane, right, and like, they're going to like fly around the world, yeah, but the kicker is, OK, she's a babe! Random!"
