Bit too close for comfort....

I guess i can admit to being a bit complacent about current events but this morning a load of dept heads in my place have got the immediate chop (European bank), including some long standing employees of 15 years of so and my line manager who is a good mate. To date we have escaped any fallout from the credit crunch, until today when obviously things have come to a head.

Just goes to show that even those of us who think we were sitting pretty can have things change pretty quickly for the worst. All i know is the next round of chops i might not be so lucky so its sphincter twitching and redundancy insurance time !
