I have never driven one - but am interested

I have heard problems with the electronic diff with modified ones, but understand you can map that too

so how well do they go and what sort of mpg do you get ?

(the turbo's fitted to them would make a great swap to a noble wink )

lots of warranty claims on the gearbox and 12-14 mpg at best so I understand. I looked at one but they have a number of inherent problems. check out rs246.com.

I've always liked them. A couple normally turn up on the tunnel runs and look quiet quick.

I had an S4 Bi turbo and it ran faultlessly for 2 years!! Not sure about the big V8, but I'm sure it will be just as reliable.

Gadge, if you contact john_r through PH, I'm sure he'll be able to enlighten you. Great car but he's had more than his fair share of troubles with it. Fortunately all covered by warranty but a bit of a PITA all the same.

DRC suspension is an issue - 3k to fix it but you can put a set of KW on for much less than that and not have the problem again.

With respect, the people that quote those sort of mpg figures have never owned one, but 'Dave' a mate of a mate twice removed says they do 12 to the gallon.... so it must be true!

The truth is, I'm currently running the 5.0 V10 and I got 24 mpg most of the way from Newcastle to London the other day.... and I certainly wasn't driving like Miss Daisy thumbup

Having said that, my old RS6 (4.2 V8) managed to empty a full tank in 1h20min coming back from LeMans a few years ago (middle of the night). I never did work out the mpg of that trip yikes
