Injector Specialist

Evening all..

I run a QED Vauxhall engine in our hillclimb single seater and it's fuelled on methanol. At our last test session pickup at low down wasn't very clean, indicative of fouled primary injectors (fairly typical with methanol) anyway I need to find someone in the Northants area who can ultrasonically clean them and check the injection spray.

Does anyone know of any reputable companies that might be able to help?

I'm 5 miles from silverstone if that helps!

give these guys a call, I'm pretty sure I saw injector flow tester there last time i was there. they build some pretty big drag engines so are probably familiar with the effects of methanol on injection systems too.

If they're a BOSCH injector - try your local BOSCH service centre. There's lots of them around these days, and many of them have injector checking tackle, rather than just the capability to fit a set of Bosch wiper blades.

If you get stuck, try Dave Walker at Emerald over near Norwich. He has an ANSU testing machine and can ultra sonically clean injectors. He also carries most spares to rebuild them. I think they'd clean them via you posting them to him? He's probably one of the most honest guys you could meet in the world of motorsport!
