Traffic Cops- BBC 1 now
Discussion
I thought this program was about policing the roads, car chases and the like. Why does it just seem to be about dealing with scum tonight and only the occasional (minor) traffic offence? I know cops have to deal with all kinds of crimes but if they're going to show them on TV do it on one of the other police programs. I remember when Traffic Cops was cool

Apparently traffic are first to arrive.
The idea is to show the more human stories which underlie traffic policing, some of which are very, very sad. (I've been out as an observer with the team featured on the programme.)

And decorate with free footage. That's about it I think? 'Showing a blatant disregard for other road users...'
'There's no hiding from the police helicopter...'
'The culprits are quickly rounded up.'
ETA: I forgot the hearts and minds bit. 'This policeman is called Dazzer; fave car Evo, fave food pizza'
