FIA Rules and Regs

I know they are vital for safety and i'm not complaining about them but there seem to be so many, looking at how to enter a vehicle into the Dakar seems rather complicated. Anyone find this the case or am I just an idiot?

Why do you think blokes with brains the size of planets (Ross Brawn, Jean Todt, Patrick Head etc) are so successful in the world of top level motorsport?

Because they can read through a set of regs and find the best ways to design and build within them and then exploit the loopholes.

But first they're REALLY good at finding those loopholes!
