I put some Quicksilver rear boxes on my 550 last year but would like more noise.

Has anyone de-catted their 550?

Has anyone heard one?

Any down sides (apart from emissions being higher)?

Any other pros and cons?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Dont know if this is of any help, but i put tubi rear boxes on mine which made a bit of a difference but not enough.

I then had the tubi X pipe fitted (thereby leaving the cats alone) and this made quite a lot of difference and over time with the rear boxes nicely choked up it makes a glorious sound now.

Gets through MOT etc fine

Cheers

Paul,

Thanks. That may be the way forward. It gets around the MOT issue.

How much does the X pipe cost?

Hi

From memory it was about £800

Purchased from Manu at Scuderia Systems. Give them a call and they can talk you through your options

thanks.

I've enquired about the Larini "Test Pipes" and they also add about 20 bhp plus more torque which is a bonus!
