My S3 has an oil pressure which is below 25 at a steady idle and below 35 when running at higher speeds.
What can be wrong? My motor does not consume any oil.

Sounds like the engine is a bit tired. As long as you change the oil regulatly and it doesn't overheat I wouldn't worry. Happy motoring.

The oil pressure gagues on these cars are not known for their accuracy.

I am sure I heard some where that the pressure relief valve can stick open after a long drive at constant high rpm. The guy who mentioned it was talking about the V8, but the same may apply for the V6. Could be worth a check.

My S3 drops to 0 when ideling warm.
I got a mechanic friend to put a test gauge on the engine which showed evrything was fine .The fault is a dodgy sender unit. [must get it sorted].
Suggest you try the same it will eliminate pressure sending/reading fault. Best of luck.

I have the same problem, starts fine, as soon as the car warms up, stops working. The sender unit IIRC is a TVR specific part, or so Hexham Horseless carriages tell me. It is about £35. But it's too cold to fit it at the moment with no garage. I'm just slucky I fitted the fuel sender unit. Which reminds me, must take pictures of it.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much, as if the oil was passing by worn bearings etc, the engine wouldn,t hold 25 psi at idle (which is perfectly normal).

Probably best to just pretend that the needle is at 70 psi when driving. I do this with my fuel gauge which makes me feel much better (p.s i'm getting 70 to the gallon now!!)

When i got mine the readings were a bit low, got it all checked out at the garage and they said there was nothing wrong
They put it down to my super accurate TVR gague
