Nortel filed for Chapter 11 today and they have offices all over Maidenhead. Not good

Oh well, any good IT / clinical / software project managers feel free to forward me your CV, I get to interview you and I get money if you get the job hehe

They used to have offices all over Maidenhead. They have 1 now. Chapter 11 is the US equivalent of administration. No UK redundancies have yet been announced but it is highly likely.

not exactly, chapter 11 is protection from creditors - many large american companies go in and out of this - especially airlines

not exactly, chapter 11 is protection from creditors - many large american companies go in and out of this - especially airlines
Agreed but the closest thing to it is Administration in the UK. The UK/EMEA arm of Nortel is in the process of being put into administration alongside chapter 11 (for Nortel in the US) and CCAA (for Nortel in Canada).

I was actually serious about if anyone is looking for work, we're hiring 2 or 3 PMs at the moment and I HAVE actually been made redundant in the past so know what it's like.

Carry on with the Gay jokes I'm sure someone that gives a st will be along shortly hehe

The poor souls affected by Nortel's redundancies without consultation are a feature of a news program this Monday in case anybody is interested...

Channel 4 national news, 7PM, Monday 21 Dec: a feature about employment is programmed, and handling of redundancies at Nortel used as a case study.
