I have a bulb (or are they LED's?) out in mine.
Are the individual lamps replaceable or does the whole unit have to be changed, anyone know?

And how is it removed - the unit that is.

Thanks guys

I've got one, but can't remember how it went now.

They are bulbs and quite easy to change.

Lightly squeeze the unit from inside the car to release it off it's clip mountings. The red lens is also removed then in the same manner. Inside are a row of capless bulbs, so just pull out the failed bulb and replace.

Refit is reversal procedure.

Aye....you'd think. biggrin

Any ideas how to remove said bulb that broke when I pulled on it to remove it and is now flush with the bottom of the reflector?

DOH!

Mmmmm typical eh, these so called 'easy jobs' madmad

I would suggest some long nose pliers and/or terminal screwdriver to prise/pull out the remaining bits, just be careful not to damage the lamp contacts in the bulb holder.

Hope you manage to fix it beer

I shall give it a go with said pliers.
If I bodge it, new (s/h) units look to be reasonably priced on ebay etc.

Thanks for your help on this sparky and everyone of course, it's really appreciated.
I'm a complete mechanical/electrical novice with cars (have done bikes for donkeys years) but I'll get there. smile

FWIW I absolutely adore this car - even this morning when I lost all the electrics and the nice AA man found a poor earth strap connection on the battery (good grief, those batteries are HUGE!) even though it looked all immaculate under the cover etc. biggrin

No probs, hope it works; and yes ebay (amongst others) do have some parts relatively cheap or check www.britishparts.co.uk

Yes, the batteries are large, I had to buy a new one about 18months ago at £110.00!
BTW another good tip for a 're-set' on any electrical glitches; is to disconnect the neutral(earth) and put the earth strap onto the positive on the battery terminal for a few seconds....it sometimes works! and then, obviously, re-connect battery as normal.

Make sure you have the radio code first though biglaugh

Hurrah! 'tis done. biggrin

Simple thing I know but it was bugging me that I could see one light out when it's dark - kinda like there was an imbalance somehow (ooh, very esoteric)

Anyhoo, all is calm again. smile
