BMW Head unit plays CDs with WMA on them?

Really just what the thread title asks.
Am considering an early 6 as a new daily driver for myself and was curious if any body knew the answer. Its question I am pretty sure no dealer would take seriously so I ask here.
I know that you are supposed to be able get an upgrade to the player so it will play CDs with MP3 on them, but WMA would allow more music at best quality which would be especially nice if the car had a logic7 sound system.
