Trial victim "Too honest"
Discussion

General story is that a driving instructor has her vehicle attacked during a lesson, the thieves then steal items from her car and run off, the driving instructor is able to identify the thieves and so they are arrested by the police. The case is then thrown out of court because the judge believed that the driving instructor was too good a citizen and so the jury would be biased against the thieves should it go ahead in court.
I did do a quick search but could not find anything on here (so apologies if it is already covered!!!)
And the government wonder why crime is out of control when the victims are now penalised for living too honest a life

something doesnt quite make sense there :chin:
near the end the judge has supposedly said:
"it was her word against Perks' and that was not enough to support a conviction."
but earlier on it says that there was someone else in the car with her at the time. would she not be a useful witness?
do you think there is a chance that there might be some crossed wires/mis-reporting going on here?
