Hi Guys / Gals

This is my first post so be kind smile

Was wondering what Ship/train people were getting over to France as the last 3 years I have been going I have gone from Dover to Calais then driven on the motorways. Is it quicker from another port?

Welcome to PH.

There is usually a wiki page in this forum that lists who is on which crossing, it'll probably appear once people start booking up.

There are closer ports to Le Mans than Calais, but of course these require a longer sea crossing, so there's no Magic Route. It's whatever is easiest depending on your location in the UK.

There is a new way across starting in March Ramsgate to Port of Boulogne-Sur-Mer.

The company is called Euroferries that is the one I will go on hopefully.

The best and cheapest of its kind is LDlines from Portsmouth to Le Havre. If you have loadsamoney then be prepared to be ripped off by Brittany Ferries and take the overnight from Portsmouth to Caen (same for the return) and have a cabin. Caen is only 125 miles from the circuit and Le Havre is about another 40 miles. There are also ferries to St. Malo.
