has anyone had a drive in the C180K?

My Co car, a A6 2.0TDI Avant, is due to go in April. I've been given the chance of an Auto C180 Sport Estate. I've only been in the C220 Sport, and not driven any of the range.

I like the car but am a little put off the idea of a small engine and an auto box. How does the car cope?

Hi, I have got a C180k classic on an 03 plate, it's very lively, that supercharger is the mutts nuts, the car is smooth and good on fuel, it was my first Merc and I have now bought an SLK as well!!

My brother in law has a big new (ish) Audi sportline, and he really rates my Mercs.

Had the 2.3 petrol, auto box and also the diesel, auto box (tiptronic so you can use it as a gear driven car) - diesel was exciting if you got over the fear of the kompressor not actually kicking in immediately. The petrol was fast fast fast but they gave me the new shape C Class 1.8 with a gear box whilst mine was being "tinkered with". I was disapointed.

Take the 1.8 for the weekend - the dealers are begging you to buy and we are always asked to borrow a car for a weekend.
