Don't be put off by the absolute rubbish that's been popular for way too long now. That is not not Hip Hop. All that fake gangsta posturing by the new breed of "Rappers" (I can't bring myself to call them MC's) is for the teenage girls who predominantly buy their bullsh!t music. The corporate takeover of rap music by old white men on wall St (no offense meant by that statement)has thankfully pushed real Hip Hop back underground again and has resulted in the creation of some genuine true Hip Hop once again. Trust me, there's some seriously good music still being made, you just have to search a little harder for it nowadays

Amen to that Krs1 and the BD Posse where true instigators in how Hip Hop evolved.

Also from that era that I used to like

Big Daddy Kane
Cash Money Marvelous
Eric B And Rakim ( one of my favorites)
to name but a few

Anybody else patiently waiting for a new Ugly Duckling album? Amusing hip-hop at its best.

Look em up if you've never heard them.
