Hi guys,

I am wondering what sort of price I should be looking at for a second hand large size quartz seamaster?

This is the style I am after (either black or blue) but not the 007 edition!

So what sort of price range am I looking at for a VGC condition one?

Am I best off buying the automatic for re-sale reasons? I am open to that idea unless it is substantial ammounts more

Thanks guys

I have a full size auto seamaster in blue, that may be for sale if you are interested.
Full Omega service & brand new bracelet last year.

Autos pretty much retain the premium they had new over the quartz, which is about £250-300ish.
2nd hand you are probably looking around the £500 mark for a quartz.

If you can rustle up the money, the auto is the one you really want, but if you buy a quartz you'll find 90% or so won't know the difference!

£500 was the figure I had in mind as a budget tbh so that helps to confirm that biggrin

I bought one for £300 from the US last year with the favourable exchange rate, sold it for £600, would have kept it but would have been mad not to at that price.

I'm on the look out for one as well. Heard £500 bandied about but it's hard finding one, they get snapped up very fast.

Right enough they do seem to be riding high just now! Must be the new bond film!

That looks expensive, mid size, quartz, no box. Is that the going price now?

The Bond model looks identical to the one in the link, but should be full size & automatic. There is no "bond" markings on the bond model, only the 007 special editions.

Well bond is far too classy to wear a quartz!
The auto version of that was in the Brosnan Bonds, but not specific markings.

IMO the Bond branding is to be avoided, just makes you look a bit of a tool!
(Wearing an exact copy is fine of course)

Mine's not for sale, 21st birthday present.

Bond version doesn't have markings.

Spys dont go around with the codenames on their watches!

Agree that people with them look like tools though!
