bowtie No worries.

This Polish lad must be the worse builder i've ever seen. Wonder if he will turn up to meet the lady?

It's one of the best comedy programmes on the box atm. However one thing that annoys me is the bit which has MM, a girl previously famous for getting her chesticles out for the boys, begging for highly expensive bits of kit like kitchens, bathrooms and the fitting thereof supposedly because the budget didn't cover these items.

Its all so contrived as its obvious that the budget is just a ficticious figure designed to create a "begging opportunity" and in the present climate no supplier in his right mind would offer a kitchen and fitting to some incompetent nuptie just cos MM fluttered her eyelashes at him.

Either that or there's a new film on the top shelf at selected outlets featuring MM noshing off various counter staff at Travis Perkins depots throughout the land.

Mind you the product placement guy for Mitsubishi has done well, with Don's motor and the crew Shoguns.

Cheers,

Tony

I think that apart from the complete lack of skills demonstrated by the builder, and the lack of recourse, the bit that ticked me off was when she said "this is the most difficult project I have ever been involved with".

How hard can it be to undo a bra then?

A lesson to be learned here. Don't choose the cheapest price, far below the price of everybody else, pay upfront and expect a top notch job.

Why do people choose the cheapest price and expect to get the same quality? You can't buy a Ferrari for Micra money.

What you should do is vet the builders before you even request a price .

Then all is equal and you should take the cheapest price as the 3 chosen tenderers are quoting on like for like .

Sometimes , the punter is almost asking to be ripped

Thread resurrection!

Had a letter this morning from BANES CC informing us that the Building Regs where not under taken by the CC themselves but a separate employed building regulation firm.

I don't think the program really pointed this out very well TBH!
