Finally, The New 'Ro Is Here!
Discussion
After a month of waiting/stress/insurance company b
ks/haggling. My new replacement 'Ro is in my hands.
I have to say, it feels a LOT different to the CV8. I don't know if that's because i've been driving round in a diesel Saab for a month or if it actually is different!
Anyway, a few piccies for you all:

It's already been booked into Monkfish to get that fog light sorted out and also to get an abudance of stuff put on

Someone part exchanged it at a vauxhall dealership and they in turn sold it onto a private garage. 55,000 miles on the clock, managed to get it for £12,500.
Completely standard at the moment, so it'll be going into the fish for AP's, Wortec sport pac with the switchable silencers (will upgrade to performance pac when I can afford to!), RRAH Pack and a ripshifter.

"I have to say, it feels a LOT different to the CV8", well that's the shorter gearing for you.
Side skirts are different to a CV8, not noticed that before.
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure if it already had a ripshifter fitted. It didn't feel as sloppy as the CV8 but not as sharp as a Rip.....that'll explain it then. Side skirts are different to a CV8, not noticed that before.

The gearlever is shorter than that fitted to the CV8, so it moves through a slightly smaller arc to select the gears. When I swapped my CV8 for the VXR, I could notice the different position straight away, but I guess if you have not driven one for a while, the difference might not be noticeable.

That's not really what he means I'm sure. He's talking ratios.
OK
from the view of a CV8 owner of 2 years who's occasionally driven VXR LS2's
1. a veteran cv8'er will be surprised how quickly they have to change up. quite alarming when you're used to lazy gearing.
2. ripshifters are brill regardless of engine/gearing, but don't improve power/performance. nice tight box though.
4. better performance and economy from ls2's (standard set up obviously)
5. all hsv's are better than your standard eurobox, so ENJOY!

i noticed a big difference with power, speed and general handling etc with the VXR over my CV8 completely different cars to be honest!

No, I sourced this one from somewhere else. I didn't like the look of that one, wasn't sure if it had a dodgy past or not. Also, I wanted to do the whole mod thing my way, so I'd prefer starting from a clean slate rather than adopt someone else's stuff.
