We've just been talking about this in the office. Why do people (mostly old people) say this?

Example: -

Person A: What does Brian next door do for a living?
Mrs Brady the Old Lady: Ooh, he's a male nurse.

Obviously he's a 'male' nurse - he's called Brian FFS! Our admin girl used to be a nurse and she says the term is still used by people who work in the NHS.

Also, is it something just us northern monkeys say or do southern poofs say it too?

It's just an excuse for gay men to fondle helpless old men in the guise of "bed bath time, again, Mr Simpkins".

This kind of banter loses its comedy edge when a male nurse sticks his finger up your arse and massages for a sample.

I know these things...irked

hehe

No. She's retired.

And she wasn't actually in the polie force, the post was for comedic effect and to see how long it would take for the predictable Rascal to pounce. wink

Evidently, not very.

I can only sympathise with you, i havent had a male nurse do that, but had to have a prostate check a while back, and the doc had hands like pan shovels!grumpy

When he did this I assume he put a hand on your back to steady you? Or did he use two hands? It seems a relatively minor observation to make but it is very important indeed!

Oh, they’re gay and no mistake.

One male ‘nurse’ I knew was found fingering an old boys bum in the anal wart ward.

Made out he was the doctor checking for lumps but I know different. The poor old boy woke up mid delve and had the shock of his life. Mind, he st for the first time in a fortnight so not all that bad.
