Postie loses 130k tl Nigerian Scammer's

The postie said he eventually got a text message from his "friend" Angela, who revealed the whole business had been a scam.
He said: "It said that it was all false and that Angela was actually a man from Nigeria. I guess he came clean because he thought he had taken all the money he could."
But Mr Symington's problems did not end there - he was then contacted by another woman, again from America, claiming she had also been caught in the scam.
He decided to help her pay her legal costs and contributed towards hiring two ex-FBI agents in an attempt to regain the lost money for both of them.
But Mr Symington now believes these people were also in on the fraud.

So how do you feel about the Natwest Three and the Enron scandal or Bernard Madoff? They committed fraud on an eye watering global scale that affects millions of lives, what about the Barings bank collapse? Should we just Nuke the UK, USA, Russia, India and be done with it?The majority of Nigerians I have met are very well spoken, trust worthy and degree educated.
There is a high number of scammers on ebay and email and the 21yr old Russian looking for love, we all know that, so dont fall for it. Sorry this guy lost money, but you have to ask at what point did he not get suspicious and decide to check for himself or ask someone what they think or fly over there if he is that concerned.
He had £130K lying around, how much is a flight?

The majority of Nigerians I have interviewed have had false degrees from Uni's that did not exist, did not have bank accounts (non-status) and kept looking at my wife like a piece of meat. I am sure there are loads of exeptions.

Ebay is getting better, but I would rather take my chances on there than do business with a Nigerian business man. Just my opinion mind.

I would also wager that he did not have £130k lying around but that is the amount going through the insurance claim or legal process for recovery. Ha ha ha , the only nigerian I have had dealings with was a cleaner at work who had used me (an air conditioning engineer) as a stencil for his Cv and had 2 different national insurance numbers and 3 names...............fraudster from the beginning.
The postie was a complete pleb.He was on tv last night and didn't look like the brightest bulb on the christmas tree.Jeees, wish I had 130k I could lay my hands on.............
I've just been to Nigeria for 2 days on business, picked up from the airport in an armoured car with a police escort, most impressive..
