What does everyone think?

I'm seeing relatively lots of new ones with rose gold and copper (effect?) at the moment.
While I quite like the look of both on certain watches, I can't help wonder what, if anything, has been done to stop the copper ones corroding to verdigris?

Nothing negative about the watches they sell, I'm sure they are very good for the money. It just makes me laugh that whenever someone ask's "What watch" usually you get Werners within 3 or 4 posts. Makes me smile every time.

Funnily enough whenever I get the money to buy a watch in that price range I can always find something more interesting. Maybe I'll get one someday, but they are far too common at the moment hehe

Ah, tbh I haven't met anyone else who owns one or has even heard of them.

I've seen them spoken about on dedicated watch forums a few times, usually other watches get recommended in their place. Lets just say the Pistonheads opinion is slightly higher, sure they are very nice though.

I think I know what you are saying. If I was to choose a watch that was 100% reliable, I would go Japanese (Seiko, Citizen) but if I want an interesting watch...

If I want something interesting I would not personally choose something "off the shelf" with a standard movement and generic design details, no matter how pretty they look in the pictures. I would choose something that interested me for interesting reasons, not something that everyone else recommended.
For example, for the £100 to £150 price range on that site I would much rather look around and buy a proper Poljot Russian Mechanical (they can be had for that money). Much more interesting and has it's "own" movement. Not a stock quartz.
For example...

Poljot Aviator Mechanical

Now that is an interesting watch and just one example of the alternatives out there with a bit of imagination.

I know a few watch collectors, all of them are members of watch forums, all of them "know" watches quite well and all of them have interesting collections (Some very). None of them own a Werners product although they are aware of the site. And it's nothing to do with badge snobbery, it's just to do with the "generic looking and what you could also get for that money".
Like I have said though I'm sure they suit the means, but I personally would rate them as a fashion watch, nothing more. Very impressive looking to someone who doesn't know that much about watches, much less so to someone that does.

Obviously My personal opinion (and I doubt it will hurt thier sales any) smile .

That's me then. All I see it Casios, Seikos, Pulsars, Sekondas, Timex etc within that price range. But it's not that they are necessarily impressive but interesting; couldn't give a stuff about the inside; it could be little pixies pushing the hands round (as long as they keep quiet).

You just want it so you can shake it. The G-shock version would have them wearing crash helmets, anyway. The automatic version would have a mini farm growing crops for them to eat.
