I have to say that inspite of me being quite critcal of WRC and rallying in general over the last few years, that this year I am, for once quite excited about the forthcoming season. Mainly because of three reasonsdrivers
In the WRC I feel that this is the year that Matt Wilson will come of age, and start scoring some podiums, you can say what you like about him being spoilt, son of the team boss etc, but he has had to do his learning in the most public of environments, without crashing, and his real issue to rally fans is that he has not been thrashing mark 2 escorts in dalby forest. I look forward to a good showing.
The next driver is Adam Gould who has won a, paid by Pirelli, opportunity to do the BRC in a Subaru alongside David Higgins. I think he is Britains best prospect for WRC glory, and if he can match the pace of David this year, with the experience he's got, then he'll go along way. I'll watch his progress with interest.
Finally, the one I am most excited about is Kris Meeke and his works Pug drive in the IRC. I genuinely think he can win the title this year, and perhaps launch a WRC career for him. He has a great chance of winning the Monte, and if he does I hope the UK press will go to town on him because that would be a fantastic result.
So all in all, if you look beyond issues with the style of rallies, the cars and Loeb, there is a lot to keep you interested in rallying this year.

I'm definately looking forward to the IRC season, hopefully the FIA will ignore Loeb's whining and keep the N/A S200 cars, though I think they may have already said they're going to be turbo'd?
Glad to see Peugeot back into rallying with dealer teams, if they have a good season, PSA are unstoppable, Citroen in the WRC and Peugeot in the IRC, talk about a whitewash
Just going back to Guy Wilks, rumour has it that he was about an hour away from siging for Subaru WRC this year, before they announced it was over, which is a shame, he deserved a WRC drive many moons ago in my opinion. Also - isn't Atkinson now driving for a Citroen 'B' Team (is it Kronos again or different?)
Still not sure about Matthew Wilson, sure he's getting better, but in my opinion, there are drivers who have matured better and faster (Jari-Matti for example, he seems to have really come on leaps and bounds)

Guy Wilks was one day away from announcing that he had the money for the Subaru WRC drive, they were literally just about to announce it to the press. Its a joke that a double BRC champion can struggle to find a drive at international level.
