SKY vs DTV

Tonight, thanks to the lovely weather, our Sky has gone the way of Citibank's share value. So as a result for the first time that I can remember I've turned over to the freeview built into the tv.

The picture quality is visually superior, not as much compression artifacts.

tbh I have no idea what the point of this thread is, the missus hasn't said a word to me all night so I just needed some one to talk to xx

sky is basically st now, there reception is horrible, they are overly expensive, support costs money, call outs cost money and you get a better deal if your a new customer.

we use to be with sky until our box went funny or the dish. could never tell. either way sky wouldnt fix it unless we paid them a £60 call out first so we said how much would it cost to go multi room in the house with the hd box downstairs. it was ridiculously expensive so we gave virgin a call and they did multi room (3 rooms) one HD, phone and when fibre city is done in a couple of months we will get 50mb broadband for like £80 a month?? sky couldn't/wouldn't compete.

back at uni we had a project from them set as a unit and the guys who cam down basically said sky was loosing out. the only thing they have is the movies and the HD channels

I wonder how it compares with Freesat.

Surely Sky's still DTV though?
