The ticker on the bottom of the BBC News 24 channel are saying Tony Hart has passed away aged 83.
RIP Tony - fond memories of watching Take Hart in the 1980s.

The "calm" generation of children's presenters are all shuffling off this mortal coil. All were left with are manic, frenetic and wired up "youffs" who seem to think that kids can only be entertained by yelling, shouting, screaming and general mayhem.

I know ther has been similar shows since his but he was the ultimate. One of the very few "...has died" threads I feel worthy of replying to. I have, on the bedside cabinent, a DIY Morph kit that shomeone bought for Christmas.
He used to get be drawing all the time just to get onto the Gallery, imo a lot of crap got on there instead of my masterpices
