Cerbera....???? Shall I???
Discussion
Have a small dilemma, had a Tuscan a few years ago and sold my Griff 500 a few months before Christmas, and recently bought myself a MK2 G60 Rallye Golf. However am missing having a RWD car so have been looking at M3's for the last few weeks. However I had a quick browse throught the Cerb for sale section and it got me thinking...... It will be my only car however I live on base, walk to work and it would be garaged and used at weekends. I like the look of the car below but before I start to search a bit more, apart from the usual outrigger problems is there anything else I need to look for? Obviously having had two TVR's before I am more than aware of the running costs and random quirkyness!! My head says M3 but my heart is whispering TVR again!!!!

As a weekend toy - absolutely !!!!!
There have been several M3/TVR threads recently, and if it was an every day driver (5+ days a week), I'd be inclined to say M3.
But, assuming you'll be keeping the Golf, DEFINATELY get a Cerb.
There is something mystical about the Cerb that all other TVR's I've driven (Griff, T350, Tamora & Tuscan) are missing....

I spent ages doing loads of research before buying my first TVR just over a week ago, a 2002 4.2. Plan is to use it as a weekend car (but actually use it every weekend, not only if the sun is shining), and just over a week in am totally loving it.
My only advice would be to get it inspected for your peace of mind. I'm not that mechanically minded, and aware that buying a high performance car that has the potential to cost sh!t loads if (when) it goes wrong, I used Rob Ingleby (there are other TVR specialist inspection services over, BBC-type impartiality etc
) and am very happy with the service and thoroughness that he put into his inspections.
I'm a big BMW fan (had 3 so far and one is the missus's car...) but the Cerbera is so much more SPECIAL!

Hi i went from a M3 to a Cerb luckily found a great TVR owner who decided to have too many kids for the Cerb and it had to go so we did a good deal but for me (dont use the car much as work abroad unfortunatly) There is no turning back, its the biggest high you will ever get and I have driven many fast cars, Porche, M3's, Mercs, Jags ect ther is nothing to beat them for there raw speed and noise but there presence and looks. If you are an extrovert with ego a Cerb is for you as you sure cant be shy in one?? How many cars have you owned that when you sit in it to start up you feel like a race driver or pilot, How many cars have you ever owned that when you are in the house you occasionally just happen to look out the window (regularally) just to stop and stare at it in the drive?? I hope others on here will agree once hooked its for life!!!! How many of you have sold one and then bought another as you just cant stand not having it?? And I am new to them go on buy one I dare you!!!!!!!
