Anyone Know if what's happening ?

Our TVRCC RO was asking the other night and it was a case of "Dunno", last thing I read was that Ettington Chase was fully booked and there was a possibility of an Alternative venue in Manchester.

Does anyone know if anything has changed ???

Don't know, but I could do with knowing the date as we are trying to arrange SCH09 and don't want to clash if we can avoid it.

coffee

I’m a bit busy washing my hair and learning about caravans , Gandalf is doing a Esperanto open university course and Weeman has bought a offshore powerboat, not sure what Paul is up to but I bet it involves major surgery on a Wedge or ambulance. So it’s over to you …… Hope won’t make things happen! Actions make things happen.

edit to add... Stuart won the euro-millions just after christmas so do think you will hear from him, and Lee has bought a Hairdressing Salon in Dudley so he has to work every saturday

I wonder if Staverton Park (DeVere venue) in Daventry would mind us taping off a section of their car park?

Similar place to EC.

Still around, and you are correct I am doing major surgery on the Wedge, and soon hopefully it will have 4 wheels again, but only to turn it 180 degrees so I can start the other side !
Also pondering whether to sell the WSV as not using it enough - not used since BBWF last year (except for a comfy workshop for stripping the Wedge of its suspension ) yikes, but may take to Lemons for 1 last trip eek

If the Wedge community are interested in coming to the North West then I may have a location that ticks most of the boxes.
Plenty of rooms and facilities, parking is absolutely no problem and location is a 10 min drive from the M6, and also very close to M62, M65, M61 and M55
Post up and let me know and I will arrange a meeting to see if they can accomodate our requirements and I will report back within the next week.

We travelled 6hrs to BBWF 08 last year. So if we ending travelling 4/5hrs it wouldent bother us this year. What you would need to agree on firstly is where would everyone be willing to travel to then find a suitable venue.
Cheers john...

No probs with me.

May not have a wedge by then but would still be looking at attending.

If there is anything that we could add from up our neck of the woods i am sure myself and dixiebabes should be able to help.

Bearing in mind the distances our friends from up North travel each and every year I don't have any grounds to grumble over travelling a few hours for the best car event on the callender!

It'd work for me. Southern convoy would have to be a VERY early affair though! Rumble rumble.

Sounds good... it's only a couple of hours away so I'm not going to argue (or make comments about better beer up't north - oops)

hi all rumour had it there was to be a joint wedge and growl event. I was looking forward to that as I have a griff and the wife a wedge. Disappointed when not listed in the sprint. Normally help out with growl so willing to do our bit for bbwf09. Do we have a lead contact?

We're happy to travel, sometimes if events are too close it's less fun smile

Yes your right Dave, half the fun is driving to the event watching the other drivers drooling over the cars that we drive then shout out to give it a quick burst.. Brill.

Ok time for a little update, I have arranged an appointment with the 'Events' manager of the location for tomorrow, and will let you all know if it looks like a venue we can use.

Good news. We hope to have news of the date for S club soon, so it'll be good to avoid a clash.
