The scottish stroke victim has just pledged another £20M to the Gaza problem.

Where does this money come from, the country's completely bankrupt. How many operations get cancelled because there's no money to pay for them. Our 'overseas aid' budget is £10 BILLION pounds a year. We give £1 Billion pounds a year to India, a country that last week paid £2 billion pounds for maritime patrol aircraft, £2.2 billion for a Russian aircraft carrier,16 MiG-29Ks for 740 million, 962-million contract signed with US for six C-130J `Hercules' aircraft. How much kit would £1 billion buy our armed forces.

Is that £10M to each side, or is he caving in to Jewish or Palestinian pressure groups?

Yeah, because our countrys got real issues. Just this past month in the UK, over a 1000 civilians were killed by foreign intruders. Oh wait, that's Gaza.

So what the hell are you lot on about. People are dieing every day over there and if financial aid is all we're willing to give, its pretty damn worth giving. Oh wait, lets spend the money instead on securing some posh chelsea blokes job so they can afford a new BMW this year. smile

We give £10 BILLION a year away in 'aid'. That's £10 BILLION we haven't got. What happened to the BILLIONS of pounds in aid Gaza receives through the EU. I don't see an ordinary Palestinians life getting better. HAMAS are much better armed though and their leaders live in very nice, new build villas.

That money should be spent here. A person who dies of cancer because the NHS can't afford the medicine to treat them, is just as dead as someone in Gaza.

You say what everyone thinks, but is too afraid to say.

I applaud you.

Slightly off topic but did anyone see the way Fiona Bruce interviewed Boris Johnson this morning.

I liked the way she tried to hold him to account on many things.

Just a real shame the BBC did not do the same with Gordon Brown a few weeks ago. It is getting beyond a fooking joke now confusedmad

They are always able to find money to spend in these situations, yet not when our troops need better kit, or our police want their pay that was promised to them......

We clearly did have it, because we gave it away. Humanatrian aid is essential to keeping millions of Palestians alive, who were forced from their homes, now live in a tiny strech of land where a much bigger country comes and bombs then every know and again. So £20 million in aid, a small amount of money compared to government revenue, is of little concern.

Oh, and hamas leaders dont live in new build villas, lol. They live in hiding - espically in current times.

B0ll0cks.

20,000,000 quid would have paid for a lot of cancer drugs, some of which my Dad was denied by the stinking NHS on budget grounds.

These poor people are the same idiots who elected a terrorist organisation to lead them in the first place. Id rather we sent £20m to Israel for a few more bombs. Or just did this.
