I presume this it the Mk4 Golf listed in your profile ?
When was the fluid last changed ? (VW say it should be done every 2 years)
I presume it's hard with the engine running, rather than switch off
(hard after a few pumps with the engine off is perfectly normal)
Sorry mate, yes its a mk4 golf gt tdi 130. Only when running mate. Ive topped up the fluid twice in the last 3 weeks!!! warning lights coming on, no sign of fluid anywhere??When was the fluid last changed ? (VW say it should be done every 2 years)

Being a Tdi, I would imagine you've still got the huge lower engine cover/belly pan covering the bottom of the engine, so if the server/master cylinder is leaking, you may not be able to see the leak.
I would suggest a quick trip to you local garage/MOT station and ask them to stick it up on a ramp & see if they can see a leak with it in the air - you don't want to mess around with faulty brakes
