hi my friend from work recently went for a photo shoot at the double take studios in Southampton after the shoot she sat by the comp and was asked what she did and did not like and how she would like them printed. in total the cost came to £799inc VAT. now she did this back in October? and as of yet she has not received the photos bar one. she has tried to contact them via phone and email but she has not been contacted. they promised to send all the photos within two weeks give or take via royal mails recorded delivery.

now the way she wants to move is to take it to court, is this the best move for her? if so what the best way of going about it? we live in Bournemouth so if we needed an attorney it would have to be local.

i am posting this upon her behalf because she doesn't know what actions to take. thanks in advance. LL

What attracted you to using an Attorney in the first place?

well she doesnt know what todo so they only way she could see to go forth is to take it to court. i know this would go to the small claims court but i didnt know if you would need an attorney to take it there for you?

there were a few, like 50? some bigger then others and she had to pay a fair bit for the CD aswell i believe (that hasnt even turned up). all she has is one 8 by 12 and two sheets of thumbs. i think they cost her £50 alone!

No prob, I've used it before and it's quote a nifty tool - no effort really - she will just present her case, then they send out the legal blurb demanding an answer. If the gallery fail to answer then they will have to go to court to defend themselves.. and lose by the sound of it. But it usually never gets that far - as soon as they see anything legal; they will get their house in order.

Why doesn't she drive to the company's office and confront them? Bournemouth to Southampton is nothing. For £800 shirley it's worth a visit?

Surely they will be on some 'website' by now.

Can't she just join and print them off like the rest of us have to?
