I have an old SE k800i that is working fine, but is very scrathed (i kept it in my pocket with the keys!). Where is the best place to sell it? I doubt its worth very much as its so scratched, but maybe one of those phone recycle places would take it?

Has anyone had any experience with these places? eg. http://www.fonebank.com/

I've just been popping mine on eBay once they get changed.

People pay stupid money for them.

Whatever you do, if nothing else make sure you take off the pictures of your girlfriend from the picture messages and phone memory

I keep old phones in the drawer now, try to do someone a favour and it backfires badly

If you just want to get rid most schools have collection boxes for mobiles, they recycle them which raises a little money - contact your local school? Lots of charities also recycle mobiles and will send you a freepost envelope for it.

I used envirofone.com the other day to sell a phone. Decent price and got the cheque in good time.

eBay is just hassle to sell phones, no matter how clear you make it that you will only dispatch in UK, someone from Nigeria usually decides to bid.

I always keep the boxes for my phones and last year I used CEX as they had a camera I wanted. I traded them in and got £280 for my iPhone and £200 for my old N95.

I also sold them my old TYTN II which was in excellent condition for £150.

If you look on their website and there is something you want ie console games etc then you get far more for trade than cash. You do however feel like a huge pikey going in the shop though....

I might just use Envirofone smile

I am looking to make some money, so dont want to just give it away.

I might signup to Quidco too, but that's a whole other thread, but i have noticed you get approx £3.50 to Quidco from Envirofone too.
