Having spent 2 years driving a 450 Chimaera, we fancy a change. I know from reading other threads on this site that most people seem to be going the other way, but what the hell.
I've been for a quick drive with Lotus at St Albans in a 135 and wondered how much extra (real world) performance it has over the standard 120bhp? I understand that the 0-60 is only 0.2sec faster, but does anyone have any comparison details on the 30-50, 50-70 and 0-100 figures?

All the best,

Don't have any figures, but I haven't had one outrun me yet; probably matters more how full the petrol tank is. The 135 engine is virtually the same up until 5,500rpm and a bit more free revving after. Real world difference (IMHO) almost zero.

They have the 0-100 & 0-60 times of s1 Elises. 135 spec should be similar.

Having just been to Goodwood on a Lotus trackday I had the opportunity to try out the new S2 135 Elise. To be completely honest I couldn't tell the difference between it and my humble S1 Elise!

It seemed to be slightly quicker on the straights (5mph more before braking) but I didn't find much more grunt at the top end. Bit disappointed to be honest....

Does this reflect anyone elses experience?
