Is it possible to play xbox classic games online through the xbox360?

I'm thinking Ghost Recon or Ghost Recon Island Thunder...

There's a compatibility list on the XBOX website somewhere.

GTA San Andreas certainly works.

Yeah I have actually played the single player GR on my 360, it was just a question of whether or not online multiplayer would work...

Many of the supported titles wont play on my new 360.
