Hi
I am trying to get a Airflow meter for my 350i restoration of the first production car!
The one I have has no markings left which I can deicpher.
Can anyone help with this, or has any one got a spare I can purchase/have.
Regards
Andy.

Do you want used or new (re-con)? You could try either RPI or Rimmer bros, but they are not cheap.
I have bought two from e-bay (they are Lucas 2AM) one was from a Range Rover and the other a from (apparently) a Wedge.
Of the two the Range Rover one is s
te as the car won't idle right, but the other one is good-un (less miles I suppose on a TVR). That's the gamble you take with used! This may be of some use

Hi
Well what I relly need is a broken one!
Just as long as it has the round bolt/screw on fitting on the end for the air cleaner to fit to! The reason for this is the first couple of 350i have a remote air cleaner which bolts to the chassis (See page 92 of John Tiplers book TVR an illustrated history)to achieve this I need to fit to my aircleaner the fore mentioned fitting so I can attached the flexable pipe to both the Airflow meter and the Air cleaner.
So if any one has a naff Air flow meter with this fitting I would be most apprecative.

Hi Skyrocketship and Peaktorgue,
Skyrocketship, thanks for the rummage, the pic you have posted dosn't show the part I need!thanks again!
Peaktorgue if you have the other end of the airflow meter which un-bolts/screws from it, that is the part I need. As I need to bolt/screw that to my air filter, then I can put one end of a plenum hose on that, and the other end of the hose on to my Airflow meter. This then gives me the length and flexabilty for the air filter to bolt to the bracket on the chassis. (As it was when it came out of the factory)
Hope you can help!

Hi
Yes that's it!!!!!!!!!!
If you can let me have it. I would be most appreciative, you would be helping to complete the restoration of this important vehicle, A milestone in TVR History in fact, as this car was the first production car with the Wheeler influence which also lead to the other V8 TVRs and onwards etc.

I hope it will be fitted even quicker! (One job of the list to be done.)
With the airfilter fitted and the brakes and clutch to bleed, all whats left to do is fit the bonnet, fit the interior, fit the doors and then the hood, plus a load of other small things and it will be finished!
Hopefully around April!
Then I can fix my cerbie and think about the rebiuld of my Taimar turbo! Then think about another TVR project (Tuscan racer for the road) O! a slap wrist from the wife!!
