Hi all, looking for some advice.

Car is off the road at the moment any my old bike weighs in at a hefty 4.2 metric tonnes (as well as falling apart)

My budget is limited to say the least. Will be looking at spending 100-150 quid and I would like an easy, comfy bike to ride. Will be cycling to work on it, but also using it for a bit of fun at weekend in the local woods.

Are there any good bikes in this price range? Mine is very heavy so something lighter may mean I'm not as tired when I get to work!

(ps I like the look of disc brakes)

Within that price range you should find an old Kona Cindercone, good strong XC bike that would make riding to work nice and easy. You thought about maybe getting a cheap road bike and using your current one for the offroad?

Had thought of that, but the old one (bless it) needs just about every component replacing, and it wasn't much in the first place.

Where is a good place to buy 2nd hand bikes?
