Not been too active on PH of late but intending to start being more activeish smile

Anyway car was picked up a few weeks ago now and unfortunately had a repair bill last week for a fair amount after the Apexi ECU decided it didnt like working anymore tongue out

Has a fairly decent spec though mostly small mods and on the whole the car has been left as Mazda intended smile

It's a 1996 RX7 still running the stock twin turbo setup (alot of people go single turbo or non-sequential however i love the drivability of having power from near enough any revs) all i've really done since buying the car is to lose the rear badges (the tuner badges that is, mazda/rx7/efini badges are staying) and to service it smile

Have to excuse the pic whoring, am still in proud new car mode with it at the moment spin

With all that PlayStation stuff on and around the dash, do you have chance to look at the road? wink

GHOST! Didn't even realise you were a member here. So Cinq Tub is the start of a long expensive journey? Lucky I never got one then!

She is a beat though, I love RX7s, doubt I'll be finding the bank balance any time soon.

Good luck with her!

RobCrezz think i recognise your nick but not sure where from, you on imoc or similar? smile

Gauges arn't too bad really the 3 smaller ones dont get looked at (humidity, temp and a clock thats out of batt), Defi gauges are Water Temp, Oil Temp and Boost but they have preset warnings (control box is hidden away out of sight heh) so generally dont need more than the occasional glance as if something goes belly up the defi box will let you know.

And well the Apexi PFC Controller is redundant at the moment while i source a new Apexi ECU, back running on standard ecu for the time being.

Sitting inside the car though its generally a nice place to be, which is what matters day to day i suppose biggrin

Lol long time no see! smile Am more of a lurker on PH but the RX7 forums not much for conversation heh smile

Been around the block a bit since the Turbo Cinq, got my 106 Rallye, then the non turbo MR2, then 3 Turbo MR2's (dont get me started on those mind - most unreliable cars i've ever owned - bar the shed like one which i bought as it had a good engine) RX7 is just in its own league though, absolutely love it.

Edit: Bank balance wise not the best of decisions but i have the advantage of not having to worry about using it to commute as i have a free service to get to the office and when i have meetings at HQ etc i have company cars to use etc smile

Ooh look at you! Company car. I still remember getting bladdered and having a massive dodgem fight at santa pod. Good times.

Anyway, sorry to go OT!

Hey i just bought a rx7 fc3s, car was flooded and due to that i am now taking everything apart to cleean it up and replace the neccessary parts. as for the rotary engnie i have tried starting it, cranks only, tried to unflood it, didnt work, could be something electrical so we took it out and are soon going to run it out of the car. what do i need to know to revive it before i sell it and throw a s13 engine in it. You could join a specialist rx7 forum and ask the question there instead of asking it on a 4 year old thread. rolleyes
