7 Series question
Discussion
Some of you may remember I bought an E38 740i a little while ago..
I owned that car for less than 48hrs and after 2 serious problems returned it to the dealer and got a refund (the sales of goods act is your friend) ...
So i'm looking again.. And have seen a few cars that are described as being the "sport" version.
My limited understanding of 7's leads me to believe that these are either Post 2001 Sport Models or Pre-2001 cars with the sports pack specified..
Can anyone enlighten me to any differences between these 2 specs? Or was it just BMW taking sports pack off the options list and making them a version of the mainstream model?
Any ideas?

the sport sat on MTech suspension so it rode lower and firmer, had the dechrome option, contour/sport seats, normally they had the dk wood or anthracite trim inside and body coloured trim outside. No mechanical changes were made and most are 2.8's as they were the run out models for the e38. Normally came with the M Parrallel alloys although its not unusual to find them on a std looking alloy.
