Anyone know of any links to the TVR Race series results in 2005 (or got a hard copy that is scanable) - Looking for the Pembrey Results sheet.
It is not here or the new replacement site http://www.tvrcc-challenge.com/html/race_results/2... (only 2006 on).

I do believe steve W lost oil pressure and I was jammed in 3rd for race 2. which made things interesting..
It was interesting racing with steve's griff at the time my tuscan had the restricted 4ltr engine.
Steve's car was ballistic in a straight line ( i'd hope so with almost twice the bhp) but a real handful under brakes and corners.. He had the uprated front disk package but still on drums on the back..
where as the tuscan was the total opposite. great on brakes and cornering ( although interestingly it corners much better with more power) but ran out off puff in a straight line.
so over a full lap it was very very close, and with the correct amount of respect for each others car it was some great racing... I could get past every lap on the twisties, but then steve would just charge away on the back straight and come back through... despite him having to start braking for the kink at the same point as I grabbed another gear
The second race was really funny, a couple of laps in my box jammed in 3rd and steve was getting the oil light on in the corners, so I chugged round the slow bits in way too high a gear, and steve had to wait after every corner till the light went out before hitting the loud pedal. It was still a close race...
With some slicks, and uprated rear brakes the griff would really be something.. but then again in design and execution its not really that different from a tuscan..
edited to say :- Thats back when it was the TVRCC challenge so there were no real tuscans there just tasmins, 3000m, griff 500's and my tuscan with the 4ltr chim motor. we were also on list 1b tyres not slicks
The following year with the car fresh from having the 5ltr put in the night before we ran 1.03.06 on slicks again with no class A cars there.

Pembrey is pretty micky mouse (but I do like it), bit like a flat Brands! You did well to gobble Steve up under Braking and getting on the gas / cornering. His car is lightly compromised by the rear discs, but I'd say more so by the limited rubber, he only ran (in 05/06) 225/60 (i.e. very tall Profile) 15 inch Yoko 32's. So giving away alot in width and extra grip to bigger fatter Slicks.
He told me that he had a jag plate diff wound right up to help with traction, only trouble was if you arrived at a corner too quickly, it would just push you straight on, so you had to slow it right down.
Only 4 gears too.
That thing on a BIG tracks like Snett / Thruxton should have out paced a Full Tuscan, but not been even close on the smaller, tighter track would have been buggered.
I love the thing, mine will not be as powerfull, but should be similar in most other respects (though with and ATB!), hence not really suitable for TVR series races (i.e. it would get beaten - Stuff That!).

this was marcs and the griffs 1st ever motor race,q1 6th 1.15.1 r 1 finished 4th with a best of 1.09.1, on sunday q 4th on a drying track 1.12.5 r 2 finished 2nd to steve halls thorpedo. graham i believe you had a problem with the grass after the hairpin. 2006 was quicker on slicks with marc and graham both in the 1.04s steves griff was really well preped and awesomely quick in a straight line. tony

<LOL> yes in 05 it wasnt grass it was a spin trying to find a gear in the disintegrating box, it was r2 the following year I ended up in the grass avoiding one of the WSS cars.. Still made for an interesting game of catch up 
Be great to see Steve ex car on slicks and an aero paackage (form a tecnical point of view) ala AMOC Super GT (on a personal note I think the aero stuff would make it look crap, but it would really be a Monster.
Pity some guy bought it that has never even raced! heard is more that a tad intimidated by it - I am not surprised (knowing the spec of it now);)
