M8 Closed in both directions

Just past the St James Junction since 6 this morning apparently. Traffic queueing back over the Erskine Bridge, as far back as Johnstone and Hillington in the other directions.

Was up Oban way yesterday and the amount of cars embedded in the scenery was shocking. Take care out there, it's fecking treacherous.

Never a good thing to happen. Roads were treacherous. Bumps happening right, left and centre.

... and I've just read that the roads weren't gritted at all as they didn't think it was necessary.
