Woman, 76, broke officer's nose
A police woman had her nose broken after being called to a disturbance involving a 76-year-old woman who had been nightclubbing in Carlisle.
The elderly woman was arrested after officers were called to the Botchergate area of the city on Saturday.
Cumbria Police said the woman was being taken to hospital because of her drunken state, when she lashed out and struck the officer on the nose.
The woman, from Carlisle, was arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault
So it's NOT just teenagers who indulge in Rowdy behaviour!!

It's Carlisle. Surprised it even made the papers; the whole place is like one big advert for Shameless.

Botchergate is hell on earth and closed to traffic weekend nights yes

There are some decent areas away from the centre and it's a good place for daytime shopping. Pedestrianised, not too big, and a good mix of high street names independents.
BTW I don't live there but pass some very desirable urban homes when I drive there from the east.

Is it just me who thinks it strange that a 76 year old was in a nightclub?
