Suggestions for improvement to the forum
Discussion
Just to start with I think this is the best and most informative Porsche forum Ive seen. Excellent. Nonetheless there seem to my subjective eye to be a few things which could be done to improve it further (imho).
So if the moderators don't mind a novice telling them how to improve things here's my few pence worth.
1. Brighten the colour scheme. Grey on dark grey is a bit oppressive.
2. Increase the number of threads per page by, say, 5?
3. Add a search facility. Great for info and cuts out some repetition.
4. Improve the "quote feature" so that it distinguishes more clearly between messages by eg. putting quoted portion in a box. From what I can tell the existing one creates threads which contain huge indistinguishable posts of identical text which are very hard to follow and unnecessarily bulky.
Just a few ideas but interested to see what others think or suggest.

Sorry fella - there's already a dedicated forum for this (after all, none of your comments are Porsche specific)....

1. The grey is very easy on the eye...and no doubt 993 owners love it, as it matches their trousers.
2. Any more threads on the main page, and they will drop off the bottom, resulting in having to scroll.
3. There is a search facility, that can be secified to 'porsche' forum only, or the whole site.
4. See above, seems fine to me?
Other than that, I think your ideas are great!

He may well be looking at the forum through www.porkers.co.uk which takes this sub forum and masquerades it as a unique forum. Website Feedback

1. Under preferences you can set your own 'skin'
2. Also under preferences, mine is set to 20, but you can set it higher
3. There is a search facility, but using google with pistonheads.co.uk works nicely.
4. More of a user issue than a forum issue ?
ETA: So eh, well um as for the quoting being a user issue ..

A question to the OP what colour scheme do you suggest?
I’m personally very happy with the present set up.
Er, I thought the present colour was so it did not look 'out of place' on work monitors.
I’m personally very happy with the present set up.
