Honestly, I don't love it...

Pretty generic aviator style watch (Werthers Original Flying Watches do something similar for about 80 notes), generic Japanese movement and $325 for the privilege of the Obama connection. Plus, the website has to have the worst "Elvis Dambuster Memorial Tutankhamen Clock*" Franklin Mint-esque tackiness to it.

Sorry, but you did ask. smile

Yeah, not a massive fan of that - its quite tidy, but I'd spend $325 elsewhere.

Exquisite, to be precise. Wasn't he a firm wearer of Breguet? That's why we won the war, you know. Good timekeeping.

That and his steadfast refusal to drink anything but Pol Roger or eat much apart from the wet end of a Romeo y Julieta.

Am I the only one thinking he'd have something a bit more. . . . prestige?

Heston Blumenthal had a nicer watch.

(Don't know if the latter remark has any significance at all rather than stating random fact. Made sense in my head.)

Looks a bit dodgy if a public servent is wearing a Patek.

Yes he was a Breguet wearer, exquisite taste as you say.

I don't think it's the done thing over there, especially now, given the state of the world economy.

GWB used to wear a cheapo Timex and Brown isn't known for his expensive watches. Berlusconi and Sarkozy don't seem to have a problem with expensive timepieces. I wonder what GWB will be wearing now that he's left office.

I wondered why it had the Secret Service badge on the face. Thought it was coincedental.
