Is it just me or does from some angles the Cadillac Converj look a lot like the Gallardo

I can see where you're coming from...though I doubt too many would be G buyers will be cancelling their orders after looking at the Cadillac pics!

I'll second that!

I really dont like the front at the moment. No idea if it will grow on me? It worked on their larger car as they are supposed to be drive-by-shooting platforms but not on a 'sporty coupe'

Is this a 'real' car or just a concept car?

just a concept at the moment (although if it is a sign of how electric cars might be then maybe there is some hope!) -

Extended-range electric luxury coupe concept

When can I buy it? Maybe in two or three years

Cadillac's stunning Converj concept car marries the extended-range electric powertrain GM developed for the Chevrolet Volt with the style and proportions of a luxury coupe.

The concept car may make it into production after the Volt's on-sale date of November 2010, but GM is being cagey about plans for the Converj. There's no doubt GM intends to use the principles of the Volt's drivetrain in a range of vehicles, however, and the Converj is the first to showcase it in a vehicle much larger than the compact Volt.

GM calls the combination of lithium-ion batteries, an electric motor and a small gasoline engine to recharge the batteries on long drives its Voltec technology.

God only knows what has possessed them to make electric cars the most hideous cars in production?! (after the Multipla!)

Hopefully with the Tesla, some new Europa based electric car and a possible actual electric Elise, they might stop making 'Priusses' and start making cars human beings might actually want to buy!
