my DIS does not come up i get all the mpg, miles to go, average mpg ect but when the radio or cd is playing i dont get that info on the centre display, does anyone out there have the same problem, and would someone plz help me sort this problem out.

VW has 2 types of DIS. One which gives the functions you refer to and another costed option DIS named "Hi-Line" which gives additional functionality like displaying radio info and menus to change convenience settings.

It easy to know which one you have. If you see a picture of the car with open doors and boot it's Hi-Line. If not then it's just a standard DIS.

FYI, Hi-Line was a £50 option.

hi mate it is a hi line i do get a the door pic on it but cant get the radio cd or tape to show on the dis? any idea what the prob might be???

I assume you are stepping through each of the menus using the control button and pulling up the audio menu?

OP needs to tell us if he is using the original radio, otherwise we can't help. Simple as.
