I stayed in the Sunborn Yacht hotel which is a couple of stops further down on the Docklands light railway when I went to see Prince at the o2 a couple of years ago. They filmed some of Life on Mars '80s there! Prices vary wildly though I paid about £50 for the room if I remember correctly.

We stayed there recently as a base to get to the O2.

Great hotel, good staff and location is good. The Catamaran is nice to use to get there and back but not cheap. About £5 each, each way if I remember correctly.

The Holiday Inn Express is the closest. The chinese restaurant underneath the hotel is awesome!

The Pilot pub half way to the arena is worth dropping into as well.

Stayed there a few times while working in Woolwich, decent hotel and yes, great Chinese underneath!

Yes I also stayed there when I went to see Metallica at the O2. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the O2.
