Hi All,

I bought a 2000 plate Legacy B4 RSK last year, took out a huge loan (which I have JUST finished paying off) to buy it... then disaster over summer... the big ends went. The car has been sat in my car port ever since and now I have finished paying for the car I need to decide what to do with it. Plan one - new engine - my school of thinking is a fully reconditioned engine to be sure of quality, rebuilt and fitted with new turbos (as I think the smaller of the two on mine is a bit worn) with gaurentee is £3.5k. I paid £5500 for the car so that means the car will owe me £9k (plus the brand new verdestein rubber all round that she got before the engine went!) and from looking at autotrader today is probably worth at most £4k, and more likely £3.5k as its bone stock. Other option is cut my losses and sell it off as a WIP (work in progress) for someone to stick a new engine in, but what would the car be worth as a non runner - any ideas? The car still runs as such but you can SEE the wobble on the crank through the front pulley!

What do you think - do I keep the car and save for that new engine and risk sinking even more money into the car or cut my losses and run (after that e30 cab I have been eyeing up... )??

Jon :-)

Buy a GTB auto unregistered, you can get a bodily rough one for a grand & screw that engine in it.
