So what's the bets the Daily Mail have every journalist on their payroll watching, pen's at the ready, for some "outrage"

The Mail might say.......

"Ross make joke about Hiltler whilst discusing New Cruse Film"

Mrs Smith, 94, was outraged by Ross's so called "Joke". "My Husband fought the Hun in the war you know" she said....There have so far been no complaint's and this is a total non story but with a bit of luck, if we bang on about it for long enough....we'll drum up some people.

Bit like this story - or complete non-story.

My opinion is that the next time he says a word that has the letter E in it he should be shot in the middle of his face.

I'd like to put myself forward for the task. I'll even do it for free.

I enjoy his film reviews, but that is as far as it go'es for me. Also I deeply resent the salary he has been awarded by the BBC, I cannot see the value.

They don't pay him a salary.

They pay his production company to produce a programme.

I cannot, i mean just *cannot*, understand the fuss about Ross. It's been on the radio all day on one station or another. I think i'd even rather go back to hearing about Obama all bloody day long.

the trouble with his film reviews is that he is utterly crap at reading from a script so he sounds wooden

I didn't miss him, I actually cringe at his puerile wit at times. You know when a child does something mildly funny and then repeats a dozen times, that's Ross's level of wit.

I think he's very good, his radio show & his talk show has been around a long time now (in various guises) whereas all other rival shows have failed.

Did prefer Barry Norman though on the Film xxxx show.

IMO.

He's overpaid.

His Saturday morning radio show is very good though - the talent is very evident - and the TV chat show is watchable compared to most of the drivel on TV.

I agree. You can't blame him for taking the money though, can you? I would smile
